Recommended Travel Adaptor for Greece
We carried out detailed research and tested a variety of adaptors ourselves. Only one ticked every box — safety, speed and durability. That’s the one we recommend here.
Abroad with no adaptor? You’ll find some for sale at airports and in town. Just bear in mind they’re often overpriced and not the best quality.
Greece is usually visited alongside Italy and Turkey. Plug types are often similar, but it’s smart to double-check before you travel.
Sockets in Greece
The plug types you’ll find in Greece are Type C and F plugs and sockets.
Type C
Type C sockets have two round pins and no grounding. Unlike Type G, they take a slimmer plug without an earth pin or fuse.
Type F
Type F sockets have two round pins with two earth clips on the side. UK Type G plugs do not fit into Type F sockets.
Do You Need a Voltage Converter?
You don’t need to worry about a converter in Greece; the voltage is virtually identical to what we use in the UK.
Before charging abroad, glance at the mains label: ‘100–240 V, 50/60 Hz’ confirms it’ll run safely without a converter.
Top Travel Essentials to Take With You
A few smart extras can make travelling so much easier. A digital luggage scale saves you from nasty surprises at the airport, a power bank keeps your phone alive when you need it most, and packing cubes stop your suitcase turning into chaos. We’ve tried and tested them ourselves, and they really do make a difference.
