Recommended Travel Adaptor for Poland
We’ve tested countless travel adaptors on the road. After checking safety, durability, charging speed and value, this one stood out. It’s the adaptor we recommend.
Realised abroad that you’ve left your adaptor behind? You’ll often find them in airports and shops nearby. Still, carrying your own is cheaper and more reliable.
Poland is commonly combined with travel to Germany and the Czech Republic. Worth a look at those pages — small differences in plug types can exist.
Sockets in Poland
In Poland, you’ll find Type C and E plugs and sockets.
Type C
Type C sockets have two round pins and no grounding. Unlike Type G, they take a slimmer plug without an earth pin or fuse.
Type E
Type E sockets have two round pins and a hole for the socket’s earth pin. UK Type G plugs do not fit into Type E sockets.
Do You Need a Voltage Converter?
Converters are only useful where voltages vary. In Poland, the mains is practically the same as back in Britain, so you won’t need one.
Check your device’s voltage rating before plugging in abroad. If you see ‘100–240 V, 50/60 Hz’, you’re in luck — no converter required, as is the case with most modern electronics.
Top Travel Essentials to Take With You
It’s often the overlooked bits of kit that help the most. A luggage scale spares you the stress of overweight bags, a power bank keeps you going when outlets are scarce, and packing cubes keep everything in its place. We’ve tested them on the road, and they really earn their keep.
